Samantha Minnette DPT, Yoga Instructor RYT-200, EEG-Biofeedback Therapist
Samantha Minnette graduated from the University of Evansville, receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in May of 2014 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Butler University in 2011. While at Butler, Samantha played Division I softball and held multiple leadership roles within her sorority, Delta Gamma. Her extracurricular and service activities including being an active volunteer for the Indiana School for the Blind, the Special Olympics of Indiana and the Evansville Rescue Mission. During her doctorate degree, she had a leading role in the student led physical therapy clinic at the University of Evansville, AceCARE. After finishing her collegiate career, her passion for wellness and holistic therapy guided her towards becoming a Neurofeedback Therapist.
Dr. Minnette received her training at the EEG Institute in Los Angeles, California led by the world-renowned pioneers of EEG Biofeedback, Dr. Siegfried and Sue Othmer. Samantha has studied with the nation’s leading researchers, scientists and clinicians within the EEG Biofeedback field. She has been invited to continue her education in 2017 to participate in an extensive training seminar with the nation’s leading neurofeedback therapists.
Neurofeedback is an essential component to her arsenal of therapeutic techniques. Neurofeedback, also known as EEG Biofeedback is a non-invasive holistic therapeutic technique that trains the brain to function at its optimal state. With her experience in overall wellness, fitness and physical therapy, Samantha knows the importance of obtaining a balanced, relaxed mind and has devoted her future career to holistically treat the body, mind and spirit. Neurofeedback creates a calm and peaceful mind to enhance the brain’s optimal functioning state.
It was after her EEG biofeedback training that Dr. Cady persuaded Dr. Minnette to join the clinical staff at Cady Wellness Institute in 2015. Her duties broadened beyond her provision of neurofeedback therapy at CWI into her being our TMS clinician for patients who receive transcranial magnetic stimulation.
In addition to her clinical work at Cady Wellness, Samantha, or “Sam” as many of her yoga friends know her, is an official Yoga Instructor with her 200-hour Registered Yoga Instructor license through the Yoga Alliance and Evansville Yoga University. Teaching classes at Evansville Power Yoga, her teaching is focused on harnessing the powerful energy of the body and mind to increase the student’s overall strength, and confidence. In 2017, CWI is bringing Samantha’s yoga talents to bear as we explore how integrate yoga, relaxation, and mindfulness meditation to assist our patients in a maximally comprehensive and integrated fashion.
