Beth Blair, RD
Beth Blair, a Registered Dietitian & Nutritionist, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics at Western Kentucky University and completed her Dietetic internship at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Beth is a graduate of the Bioindividual Nutrition Institute Foundations Professional Course & Nourishing Hope for Kids Graduate. She enjoys working and helping people of all ages and has always focused on using more of a whole health / holistic approach to nutrition focusing on individualized nutrition goals. Beth has a strong passion and willingness to help people find a more healthful approach that fits within their daily life.
Beth is married, lives in Newburgh, Indiana with her husband Shane and 2 children, Cooper (5) and Lenora (3). Beth’s son Cooper was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2. Since her son’s diagnosis, she has taken it upon herself as a parent and nutritionist to the learn the best dietary approaches to help treat her son and along the way has been able to help other parents with suggestions and alternatives in their nutrition journey. Each child is different, and their nutritional needs require an individualized approach – which can be difficult for us as a parents because many want a “one size fits all” answer. Beth is able to fully understand the difficulties of how busy life can be with young children and that adding something like Autism in the mix can make for trying experiences at times. Beth is able to help you figure out food related symptoms in young children (and adults) that may go missed and untreated. Cooper has never been that great of a sleeper and the whole family has gone numerous nights with little to no sleep. With diet changes, including going gluten free and dairy free, Cooper was able to get more sleep. This is huge for any parent! Parenting can be hard and making changes to our normal meals and snacks can be even harder but with Beth’s approach of coming up with a few small steps to start with diet changes and focusing on nourishing foods can benefit the entire family! Beth understands and can help balance out some more convenience type food items when needed and help with recipe alternatives when at home. Beth has just started working with the Cady Wellness Institute and is excited to be a part of the team.
